Magnetic Pick Off Pre-wired

A magnetic pick off sensor designed to monitor the speed of rotating parts such as gearbox control, rolling road applications. The sensor contains a small magnet and a wire coil. For example when a toothed gear passes the tip of the perception head, the resulting change in magnetic field induces a voltage in the coil. This voltage has frequency equivalent to the rotation speed (multiplied by the number of gear teeth) and amplified proportional to the rotation speed and perception gap. These sensors can resolve gear wheels down to a pitch of 2.5mm per tooth.
